Both sides head into the game following relieving victories last week to end a string of poor results, but a defeat in this match will see a lot of the good work undone the week before.
Mark Aston’s Eagles can move four points clear of the 11th-placed Roughyeds with victory, however an Oldham victory would see Scott Naylor’s side go level with Sheffield and move out of the relegation zone at the expense of Whitehaven.
2. Batley nearing fairytale ending, but Cumbrian challenge awaits
With four rounds of action remaining, Batley’s destiny remains in their hands as they look to achieve the unthinkable and make the top four.
Batley have arguably the easiest run-in of the four teams in the hunt, however the reality is that a trip to Whitehaven is never easy, and John Kear’s side can’t afford to slip up.
It’s a huge game for the Bulldogs, who will be looking to extend the gap between themselves and Bradford should they lose to Leigh.
3. Fax face their trickiest test as they seek revenge on Swinton
Halifax’s stunning display against Bradford last week came as no surprise to their supporters, who have seen them constantly impress against the top teams.
Their issue has been against the teams in the bottom-half of the league, including Swinton, who they lost to at home earlier in the year.
Fax get their chance at revenge this weekend, and with Leigh, Featherstone and London their final three games of the season, Richard Marshall’s side need a win to maximise their chances of making the top four.
4. Leigh seek to crush Bradford’s top four hopes
It’s no secret that Leigh and Bradford aren’t the biggest fans of each other.
So, the Centurions would love nothing more than to do one over their fierce rivals and further crush their prospects of a top-four finish.
A defeat for Bradford leaves them in a perilous position, potentially three points adrift of the top four with three games to play.
The Centurion’s top-four spot is secure, but they won’t go easy on the Bulls.
