Cummins returns to rugby union

Former Bradford Bulls head coach Francis Cummins has joined rugby union side Doncaster Knights as their skills & backs coach.

Cummins replaces new Leigh Centurions coach Paul Cooke in the role after he left the club in May.

Since departing the Bulls in 2014, Cummins had taken up the role of assistant coach at Yorkshire Carnegie, who share Headingley with Leeds Rhinos, the club Cummins played for in a 12-year stay.

The Knights fell agonisingly short of promotion last year, finishing second and eventually losing in the play-offs to Bristol.
