Hull FC coach Lee Radford has confirmed that fullback Jamie Shaul has been withdrawn from his 19-man squad as a precaution ahead of Friday’s trip to Salford.
Shaul was subbed off during the latter stages of the Hull derby last week, but with a Challenge Cup semi-final against Wigan now just a week away, Radford confirmed that he has changed his squad and removed Shaul from it.
“Jamie Shaul won’t be any good for tomorrow night,” he told reporters at his pre-match press conferece.
“He’s got a hip injury and would need to be jabbed up to play.
“It’s a precautionary move with the Challenge Cup semi-final around the corner.
“We’ll ring up the RFL tonight and inform them of our team changes.”
Hull’s updated squad is: Fonua, Talanoa, Pryce, Sneyd, Taylor, Houghton, Watts, Ellis, Minichiello, Abdull, Green, Thompson, Michaels, Manu, Bowden, Pritchard, Yeaman, Washbrook.
