Tom Briscoe has admitted he can’t wait to take on his hometown club, so he can take on his brother.
The Leeds winger was in attendance to see his hometown club prevail in the ‘half a million pound game’ as Featherstone defeated Bradford 20-0 and secure a spot in the top four.
Their unexpected surge into the Qualifiers secured a game against Leeds, which will see Tom take on brother Luke, who joined Rovers on loan from the Rhinos last week.
“The added bonus of Luke playing there I suppose is that we’ll be opposite each other, which would be interesting. It would be the first time I’ll be opposite him,” he said.
“I think they’ve been pushing and wanting to be in this situation for the past couple of years, and now they have the chance to really push on and hopefully get into Super League. That would be great for everyone involved in the town, and for the youngsters to have a team closer to home to aspire to become.”
