Wigan Warriors head coach Shaun Wane believes that his club’s supporters can make the difference on Friday night in their Challenge Cup semi-final against Hull.
Speaking to Ladbrokes, the competition’s title sponsor, Wane was quick to lavish praise upon the Wigan fans, saying that they can help them get over the line and get back to Wembley for the first time in three years.
He said the Warriors fans “offer a massive advantage, and they can make a real difference in making sure we get the win.”
Meanwhile, Wane told Wigan Today that there is real pressure on his side as they bid to reach the tournament’s showpiece final at the end of next month.
He said: “We need to be good on our detail, we need to be technically good in certain areas against what is a massive Hull side.
“So there is a fair bit of pressure on us.
“Hull are a big team, particularly their back five who are very big, so we need to be really, really good and challenge them in the collision.”
Wane revealed that forward Dom Crosby is a doubt for the game with injury – but he has not been completely ruled out of appearing at Doncaster on Friday.
