Has Gary Hetherington dropped a major hint surrounding the future of Brian McDermott?
There has been plenty of speculation surrounding the future of the Leeds head coach, with reports suggesting McDermott is set to join Jamie Peacock and become Hull KR’s unidentified head coach for 2017.
However, Hetherington told League Express that McDermott’s future is “not an issue”.
He said: “I just keep reading what’s in the media, things keep cropping up and people must know something I don’t.
“That (McDermott’s future) is not an issue that we at Leeds Rhinos are contemplating dealing with.”
Hetherington was speaking to League Express about a variety of topics, including the upcoming Qualifiers.
