Sandow opts for Warrington stay over NRL return

Chris Sandow is staying at Warrington.

In news that will undoubtedly delight Wire fans, the Wolves magician has told League Express that he is not interested in returning home, and envisages a long stay in primrose and blue.

“I’m not thinking about home yet; I’m enjoying myself too much here,” Sandow said.

“Warrington gave me an opportunity to come over here and enjoy my footy, so I’m paying them back as much as I can. You can tell that in how I am celebrating with the boys when they score.

“It’s crazy how passionate the fans are over here, especially the Warrington supporters, and the boys love playing in front of them.”

It rounds off a superb three-day period for the Wolves, who earned a place in the Challenge Cup final with a convincing win over Wakefield on Saturday.

Sandow has been at Warrington for just over a year since joining the club from Parramatta.

He revealed his intentions in a wide-ranging interview with League Express, which can now be purchased in stores or online at totalrl.com/le
