It has been almost a year since Kevin Locke last played top-level rugby league – but according to reports in Australia, he is about to offered a chance to resurrect his career.
Fox Sports are reporting that the 27-year-old has held a meeting with South Sydney coach Michael Maguire during Souths’ recent trip across to New Zealand to play the Warriors.
The report stresses that Locke has not penned any deal yet, but it seems a positive move as he looks to put his career in the sport back on track.
Locke left Wakefield under a dark cloud last year, having previously had an indifferent spell in England with Salford prior to that.
