Wakefield Trinity
It’s well known that Trinity are on the lookout for a forward, with Mitch Allgood and Craig Huby two players recently linked by League Express.
But if those two moves don’t come off, how about a move for the 32-year-old?
Chris Chester has signed Bailey before while he was at Hull Kingston Rovers, and although that didn’t work out, the Wakefield chief could be tempted to try a second time with the six-time Grand Final winner.
Bailey made 15 appearances for Warrington last year, including one in the Grand Final. With over 300 career appearances at the top level under his belt, his experience could be of benefit to Trinity.
Huddersfield Giants
As the recruitment merry-go-round continues, Huddersfield could be the next on the lookout for a prop.
Should Craig Huby depart, he would be the third front-rower to leave the club along with Eorl Crabtree and Josh Johnson.
Huddersfield still have players in that department with the likes of Sam Rapira, Nathan Mason, Daniel Smith and new signing Paul Clough. But in a long, gruelling season, that might not be enough cover.
Bailey would add power to the Giants pack, and he might prove to be a decent addition.
Bradford Bulls
Before the club went into administration, the Bulls had been linked with the former Leeds forward, but recent off-field events meant that link went cold.
But, with a resolution to the club’s troubles thought to be nearing, they could well kick-start their interest.
Bradford have lost a lot of their front-rowers from last season, with Mitch Clark, Paul Clough, Dan Fleming and Steve Crossley all departing.
The Bulls definitely need to bolster their pack, and Bailey could be the answer.
Swinton Lions
They’ve already made one audacious bid for Fuifui Moimoi, so what’s stopping them making a play for Bailey?
Swinton’s recruitment ahead of 2017 has been very impressive, with the likes of Matt Sarsfield already joining the club.
With Moimoi moving to Toronto, it suggests the Lions still have money available to spend, making Bailey a realistic target.
