Jordan Tansey has found a new club… in the second division of French Rugby League.
The released Wakefield back has joined Racing Club Lescure-Arthès XIII, who play in the Elite Two Championship.
Tansey had been linked with a move to the Championship with Featherstone and Sheffield. However, he has linked up with the French minnows.
Nicknamed the Minotaurs, Lescure-Arthès missed out on promotion to the top of the French pyramid when they lost to La Reole in the Grand Final at the end of the season.
The 30-year-old made his Super League debut for Leeds in 2006 and went on to play for Hull, North Wales Crusaders, Castleford, Wakefield and Huddersfield.
However, he made just two Super League appearances in 2016, both while on loan at the Giants, and was released by Wakefield after just four appearances in two seasons.
Overall, he has made 149 Super League appearances, scoring 50 tries.
