Bemused Salford head coach Ian Watson insists there is nothing in reports that Lee Mossop is going to join Hull FC.
Speculation emerged on Monday that Mossop could be heading to the Challenge Cup winners on loan, just weeks after putting pen to paper on a loan deal with the Red Devils.
Mossop, 27, has signed a one-year deal with Salford after leaving Wigan, and Watson insists that reports that he is about to leave the club are way off the mark.
“Mossop’s coming with us,” Watson said.
“He’s a perfect fit for us and what we need. We aren’t looking to move him on. We’ve signed him for the next year, and hopefully we can extend it longer than that. What 12 months does is allow us to have a look at him and for him to look at what we’re about.
“We like everything we’ve seen of him so far.”
