The Rugby League World Cup trophy, lost for over 20 years after the 1970 competition, has been fitted with a GPS tracker.
Stolen from a Bradford hotel in 1970 and found in a ditch near Bingley, the trophy has also had the missing cockerel restored which used to adorn the cup.
The cockerel has been recreated by trophy makers Fattorini who also created the original FA Cup and Challenge Cup.
“We may never know where the World Cup went during its two missing decades, but we will always know where it is,” said RLWC 2021 CEO, Jon Dutton.
