Saints’ stellar second-half performance stuns the Black and Whites

Five second-half tries put Saints back on track, and ends Hull’s 100% start, as they storm to a 12-38 victory over the Black and Whites.

After receiving a penalty for obstruction, Tommy Makinson kicked the reigning champions into an early two point lead just three minutes into the game.

Hull held a substantial amount of pressure thereafter and eventually, managed to get their way over on the 27th minute. Jake Connor’s kick into the corner caused trouble for Saints, and Carlos Tuimavave picked up the scraps.

Both defences held until the half-time break, meaning Hull went into the sheds with a slender four-point lead.
