LEEDS RHINOS head coach Brad Arthur has reacted to speculation that either Liam Knight or Matt Arthur could make the move to Headingley.
Knight, according to The Mole at the Wide World of Sports, had been in talks with the Rhinos over potentially moving from Canterbury Bulldogs.
However, the Leeds boss dismissed claims that Liam Knight could be moving to the Rhinos.
“Nothing in Liam Knight, Ian has closed down the suggestions of those players linked with us,” Arthur said.
“I’m not sure where those rumours come from.”
Arthur also addressed whether his son, Matt, could join Leeds after leaving Parramatta as well.
“There is no potential for him to play here. He is 19 and still trying to cut his teeth over there. I don’t know what he is going to do.”
For Arthur, he is yet to build his squad for 2025 with the salary cap and money available not yet sorted.
“There is nothing at the moment, until we know where we stand how much money we have got, it will determine what market we are in for and what type of player.
“I think there is still a hunger and desire for Australians to come over. Guys in Australia want to play in the NRL but if they feel a pathway is blocked then they will look at playing at another level and if that’s over here and making a career here then that happens.”
