HULL KR and Leeds Rhinos have been confirmed as the two Super League teams heading to Las Vegas next year.
They follow the lead of Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves, who took part in the NRL’s second annual event in the USA earlier this season.
The 2026 edition of ‘Rugby League Las Vegas’, held again at Allegiant Stadium on Saturday, February 28, will consist of three matches.
Hull KR and Leeds will feature alongside NRL round-one games between Canterbury Bulldogs and St George Illawarra Dragons, and Newcastle Knights against North Queensland Cowboys.
While Wigan and Warrington arranged their own participation directly with the NRL, the two Yorkshire sides were chosen after Super League invited applications from each club.
Being willing to give up a home match helped Hull KR’s cause, alongside the kind of performances which have put them top of the table and into the Challenge Cup final.
Leeds, meanwhile, are expected to bring a significant following to Vegas, after the introduction of English sides this year drew an estimated 10,000 fans from the country.
It’s the first time the Robins will have ever played in the USA while the Rhinos have made several pre-season trips in the past and played a friendly with South Sydney Rabbitohs in Jacksonville, Florida in 2008.
Hull KR chief executive Paul Lakin said: “This is undoubtedly the biggest Super League event ever in terms of profile and global attention.
“To have Hull KR at the heart of it is an incredible opportunity we’re determined to maximise.
“Sport is about creating memories and moments that last a lifetime – for our players and our supporters. This is one of those moments.
“To play in Las Vegas, in front of a worldwide audience and on one of sport’s biggest stages, is something the players, staff and fans will never forget.
“We’ve worked hard over the last few years to build something special, and this is another step forward on that journey.
“In particular, we were keen to be the designated home team so we can ‘Hull KR’ the experience as much as possible and take our unique matchday experience and atmosphere on the road with us.”
Leeds commercial director Rob Oates commented: “We are delighted to get the call to head to Vegas in 2026.
“Everyone here in Super League was blown away by the impact that Wigan and Warrington made earlier in the year and the challenge now is to make it even bigger and better in ’26.
“We are working closely with Hull KR, who are great partners for this event, and RL Commercial and this is a massive opportunity not just for the Rhinos but Super League to show the world just how passionate our loyal supporters are.
“We hope that over 10,000 fans will be travelling across from England, which will make this a real ‘I was there’ moment.
“What went on in Vegas has definitely not stayed in Vegas in this case and everyone wants to be part of it.”
Huddersfield Giants, Hull FC and St Helens are believed to have also expressed their interest in taking part, with the latter two clubs now strong contenders to do so in 2027 instead.
