The goal-kicking 24-year-old, who can also play centre or in the halves, has impressed in the Queensland Cup, playing for Townsville Blackhawks, Western Clydesdales and Norths Devils.
He becomes the third confirmed York addition for 2026 after experienced forwards Paul Vaughan, the former NRL prop currently with Warrington, and Josh Griffin, the Wakefield secondrow, signed up.

“I think he’s going to be a player who takes the league by storm and adds more depth to that fullback position.
“He’ll up the standard yet again and provide even more competition and I can’t wait to get him started.”
Lipp, from Toowoomba in southern Queensland, says the ambition of York’s Australian owner-chairman Clint Goodchild appealed to him.
“From the minute Clint reached out to me about the possibility of joining York, I was excited,” he explained.
“The vision he has for the club and where we are heading, I knew straight away that I wanted to be a part of it.
“I’ve watched games, and you can see why the club are having so much success by looking at the fans.
“I can’t wait to enjoy the loyal supporters the Knights have behind them and experience what the city has to offer.”
