Jake Arthur’s move to Hull FC confirmed

JAKE ARTHUR’S move to Hull FC has now been confirmed.

The 22-year-old Australian halfback will join the Black and Whites on a two-year-deal at the MKM Stadium.

The youngster made his professional debut for Parramatta Eels in the NRL in 2021, scoring in a 34-18 win over New Zealand Warriors in Magic Round.

He played at the Eels under his father and Leeds Rhinos head coach Brad Arthur.

Jake is currently with the Newcastle Knights in the NRL, but has played just three games all season after having previous experience with Parramatta Eels – like father Brad – and Manly Sea Eagles.

Upon making the move to Hull FC, Arthur said: “I’m really excited. It’s a really great opportunity for me to come over to England and grow my footy game.

“Also, I’m really looking forward to linking up with the team. I’ve watched quite a lot of Hull FC this year and I really like the look of the team and how they play, so I’m excited to get in and amongst it.

“Hull play a real tough brand of footy. I’ll be looking to come in and try and take a bit of the pressure off Aidan [Sezer] and steer the team around the park.

“I can’t wait to come over and play in front of the crowds. You can hear how loud the fans are just watching on the TV – to play in front of it will be a crazy experience.

“I’ve got a few mates who have already been to England to play in Super League and they say that the Hull fans are the loudest, so I can’t wait to get over there and represent the club in the best way I possibly can.”

Hull FC’s director of rugby, Gareth Ellis, added: “John Cartwright is excited by the signing of Jake Arthur. He’s an excellent judge of a good Rugby League player, so this is a piece of business we can be very happy with.”

“Jake is a young, hungry player, who has all of the attributes and traits to make a great Super League player.

“We identified Jake a while ago and we’re thrilled to be able to get the deal over the line. We’re looking forward to him arriving in Hull so he can get started with us in preparation for the 2026 season.”
