THE internet prankster who lined up with the Australia team before their second Test victory over England has been arrested.
Daniel Jarvis stood with the Kangaroos as their national anthem was played ahead of the match at Hill Dickinson Stadium in Liverpool.
He is a well-known prankster, with previous stunts including entering the pitch during a cricket Test match – colliding with England’s Jonny Bairstow – and disrupting BBC and Sky Sports football broadcasts.
Merseyside Police said: “We can confirm that officers have detained a man following an incident at Hill Dickinson Stadium, Liverpool this afternoon, Saturday, 1 November.
“The 37-year-old man from Gravesend, Kent, was detained at around 2.30pm after entering the pitch before the start of the England v Australia rugby league match.
“He has been arrested on suspicion of possession of articles for use in fraud and fraud by false representation, and has been taken to a police station for questioning.”
