Australia line-up prankster charged by police

THE internet prankster who lined up with the Australia team before their second Test victory over England has been charged by police.

Daniel Jarvis stood with the Kangaroos as their national anthem was played ahead of the game at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

He is a well-known prankster, with previous stunts including entering the pitch during a cricket Test match – colliding with England’s Jonny Bairstow – and disrupting BBC and Sky Sports football broadcasts.

The 37-year-old, from Gravesend in Kent, has been charged with disrupting a person engaged in a lawful activity.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

Australia star Cameron Munster, whom Jarvis lined up next to, said afterwards: “I just assumed he had some corporate package or some agreement with the Kangaroos that he could jump in for the anthem.

“Then I realised who it was. It was the guy who does that stuff on the regular.

“It took me a while to click on but it was pretty funny. He got me. It was a bit weird but I just went with it.”
