Australia and England stars escape bans following feisty Second Ashes Test

REECE WALSH, Tino Fa’asuamaleaui and Dom Young will all be free to play in the Third Ashes Test this Saturday at AMT Headingley.

All three men were cleared of any wrongdoing by the International Match Review Panel following a feisty Second Ashes Test at Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium last weekend.

Both Young and Fa’asuamaleaui men were sinbinned less than two minutes into the Second Test at Everton for inflating a melee between the two sides after Jez Litten and Harry Grant had a fracas on the floor.

Meanwhile, Walsh was sinbinned late on in that fixture having collided with Young in the air when the England winger went close to claiming a George Williams kick.

A statement confirmed: “The International Match Review Panel (Paul Cullen RFL, Luke Patten NRL) have reviewed Saturday’s match and accepted all on-field decisions.

“Therefore no incidents have been deemed sufficient to warrant further action under the international rules in operation for this series.”
