AUSTRALIAN pundit Greg Alexander believes as many as four NRL sides would beat England following their poor showing in the Ashes.
England lost 26-6 in the First Test at Wembley before improving somewhat to go down 14-4 in the Second Test at Everton.
But Shaun Wane’s attack has come in for special criticism, with England scoring just one try across both games so far.
On SEN Breakfast with Vossy and Brandy, Alexander was quick to demonise England when asked by Brisbane Broncos hero Corey Parker whether four named NRL sides would beat Wane’s men.
“Call it how it is, we are going to win three-nil and we were always going to win three-nil,” Parker said.
“But if you played the Broncos, Panthers, Canberra, the Melbourne Storm… would they beat the English side?”
Alexander didn’t take long to hit back, saying: “Please, they’d beat them comfortably, yes.
“The Australian win over England – England’s attack was horrid. It was sideways, they ran over the sideline and Australia were just better.”
England now have just one game left to redeem themselves as the home of Leeds Rhinos – AMT Headingley – plays host to the Third Ashes Test on Saturday afternoon.
