LEEDS RHINOS have confirmed that dual-code Wales international Bethan Dainton has left the club after three seasons.
The 36-year-old made 41 appearances for the Rhinos, playing in two Challenge Cup finals and the 2023 Grand Final, having made her debut in the opening game of that campaign.
Before switching to Rugby League in 2021, Dainton, who is a full-time soldier in the British Army, played rugby union for Harlequins and became the first servicewoman to play for the Barbarians. She has eight Wales caps in each code.
Writing on Instagram, the backrower said: “End of a chapter – grateful for the memories, teammates who became family, and fans who’ve been unbelievable from day one.
“Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way – it’s been an honour to wear the blue and amber.”
