ST HELENS have appointed former Salford Red Devils forward Adam Sidlow as their new assistant scholarship coach.
Sidlow had initially committed to playing another season with Swinton Lions ahead of the 2026 Championship season, but, at 38 years of age, decided to hang up his boots instead after making 384 professional appearances, 150 of them in the top flight.
In doing so, Sidlow has now moved into coaching, revealing the news on LinkedIn.
He posted: “I’m happy to share I’m starting a new position as Assistant Scholarship Coach at St Helens RFC.”
Sidlow had been completing coaching qualifications in recent years with a view to continuing his involvement in the sport – and that is exactly what he has done.
