Ex-Warrington Wolves man makes Keighley Cougars return

KEIGHLEY COUGARS have secured the signing of Lucas Green on a permanent deal from Warrington Wolves.

Versatile forward Green came through Warrington’s academy and made a total of six first-team appearances there.

After a nomadic 2024 season in which he played for five different clubs, Green found a home at Keighley last term, playing 18 games on loan.

And following his release by Warrington, the 21-year-old is back at Cougar Park.

“I was on loan here all last year and loved it so I’m buzzing to be back,” said Green.

“We had a disappointing season (finishing ninth out of ten in League One) so I’ll be trying to put my best foot forward to make sure next year is better than this year.”

Cougars head coach Alan Kilshaw said: “Lucas is still young and developing, but he already brings Super League experience along with two years of regular game time across the Championship and League One.

“He comes from a strong environment, and we are very excited to help him reach his playing goals this season.”
