OLDHAM have insisted that reports of a winding-up order being issued against the Championship club relates to a now-resolved historic debt.
The Roughyeds have also stated that the historic debt was something that the club was “previously unaware” about, but that the matter is no longer a problem and the winding-up order petition will be thrown out.
A statement on the club’s website said: “Oldham Rugby League Club would like to provide an update to supporters following recent reports of a winding-up order issued against the club.
“The order relates to a historic debt of which the club was previously unaware. This matter has now been resolved, and the petition will be dismissed.”
In recent weeks Salford Red Devils have been wound up and Featherstone Rovers have gone into administration, with financial issues plaguing both clubs.
