BARROW RAIDERS’ pre-season game against Whitehaven has been postponed due to a frozen pitch at the Northern Competitions Stadium.
The decision was made at 10am on Saturday, four hours before kick-off, following an inspection.
The game is not expected to be rescheduled, with both having other fixtures planned for next weekend.
Barrow, who beat North Wales last Sunday, are due to host a Scotland representative outfit on Saturday, January 10, for Shane Toal’s testimonial, before opening the Championship season at home to Workington Town on Sunday, January 18.
Whitehaven travel to Workington on Sunday, January 11, then also start their campaign on January 18, at home to Sheffield Eagles.
