DONCASTER’S former Super League star Andre Savelio is heading back to Goole Vikings.
The 30-year-old New Zealand-born forward played for St Helens, Warrington Wolves, Hull FC and Huddersfield Giants in the top flight, topping 100 appearances, and represented Combined Nations All Stars against England in 2021.
Having indicated plans to retire, Savelio signed for Doncaster a year ago, but has played only twice for the club.
He had a five-match stint at Goole last year and has returned on a season-long deal.
Savelio played alongside Goole coach Scott Taylor at Hull and joins fellow former Super League players such as Brett Ferres and Liam Watts in the Vikings squad.
