NORTH WALES CRUSADERS have welcomed veteran try-scorer Patrick Ah Van back to the club.
The 37-year-old has spent four of the past five seasons with the Colwyn Bay side, crossing 43 times in 82 appearances (he also featured once on loan in 2018) with an Oldham campaign in between.
Ah Van was released after dotting down 13 times during North Wales’ League One title-winning campaign last time around.
But he’s now back on board to continue a career which has taken in New Zealand (with the NRL’s Warriors in his home city of Auckland), England (Bradford and Widnes in Super League) and France (with Villegailhenc-Aragon).
Ah Van was named in the squad for Saturday’s home game with Swinton but didn’t play as the Crusaders earned a first league win of the season, 48-22.
He could feature this Sunday when Dean Muir’s men travel to Newcastle.
