Boost for Dewsbury Rams as experienced forward signs

DEWSBURY RAMS have signed Danny Addy after the experienced loose-forward played four times for North Wales Crusaders this year.

The 35-year-old Scotland international, who had joined the Colwyn Bay club after Featherstone Rovers failed to gain a place in this season’s Championship, has penned a FLAIR Stadium deal to the end of the season.

Addy came through the Bradford Bulls development system to play 147 times for the first team, and had a loan stint at Dewsbury in 2010.

He then had spells at Hull KR, Leigh (Centurions) and Salford (Red Devils) before joining Featherstone in 2024.

“Adding a player of Danny’s calibre and experience to the squad is a massive boost as we head into our upcoming fixtures,” said Dewsbury in a statement.

The Rams, who have taken Wakefield Trinity forward Ellis Lingard on a one-week loan, visit Workington Town on Sunday.
