Kurt Haggerty ‘devastated’ by Bradford Bulls’ derby defeat

BRADFORD BULLS boss Kurt Haggerty said he was “devastated” his side was unable to deliver a derby triumph for supporters.

After starting the season with three home wins, Bradford were beaten 24-12 by their rivals Leeds Rhinos.

“I was pleased with their application and attitude, we were tireless,” said Haggerty.

“We had one sub left on the bench at the end and were walking wounded.

“We lost a couple of big moments in the game.

“The effort was top class, we defended well, but it took too much energy out of us. Leeds completed at 94 percent and that made it hard for us.

“We are in the big games but there are some things to learn. We are devastated that we couldn’t win for our fans.”
