Injury Corner: Eight Super League clubs suffer concerns

THERE were a number of injury concerns following the weekend of Super League action.

Huddersfield Giants were left licking their wounds following a home loss to Bradford Bulls and they also lost halfback Oliver Russell to what looked like a serious Achilles injury.

St Helens lost Owen Dagnall to a knee injury in the second half of their scarcely believable 46-0 thrashing by Toulouse Olympique.

Romain Navarrete broke his hand in Catalans Dragons’ loss to Leeds Rhinos, whilst Cooper Jenkins came off early suffering from blurred vision.

Hull FC hooker Amir Bourouh limped off midway through their loss to York Knights with a lower leg issue.

Ben Currie appeared to dislocate a finger in Warrington Wolves’ defeat at Wigan Warriors.

Leigh Leopards lost two before kick-off against Castleford Tigers – Frankie Halton to a tight hamstring and Bailey Hodgson to illness, with both expected to be fine for next Saturday’s trip to Hull – whilst Krystian Mapapalangi pulled up in Castleford’s team run as Jordan Lane went off early with a hip flexor problem.
