WILLIE PETERS was extremely disappointed after seeing Hull KR lose for the second time this season to Wakefield Trinity.
Following his side’s 20-6 defeat, coach Peters said: “Everyone – players and staff – need to be accountable as the performance was poor.
“We never looked like winning and we had a lot go against us. Even with the wind behind us we came up with errors and yellow cards but refereeing decisions are not my concern.
“I have let them (the players) know and been honest with them as we have had a few (performances) like that.
“There was effort tonight but we needed more then that, especially with a completion rate of around 60 percent.
“We were well disconnected as they came through us for every single try. I am disappointed and frustrated.”
Daryl Powell was pleased with the win and knows his Wakefield side are building steadily.
He said: “It was a brave performance of character and spirit and in the second half we were outstanding. We had smartness both attacking and defending.
“To come to a big side and for them to not score a try shows a great effort. It was gritty but even when you have a game plan it never goes to plan. We changed our shape in the second half and were unlucky not to be further ahead.
“We were adaptable today and scored some important tries and we worked hard for each other. The players off the bench helped us to stay at the same level.
“We are in a great place and gradually getting there.”
