ADRIAN LAM has paid tribute to Robbie Mulhern ahead of his move to Castleford Tigers.
The 31-year-old has made almost 100 appearances in four seasons with the Leigh Leopards since joining them ahead of the 2023 season.
Mulhern began his career with Leeds Rhinos, making five appearances as well as having loan spells at Hunslet and Newcastle Thunder.
A permanent move to Hull KR ahead of the 2016 Super League season rejuvenated his top-flight career as Mulhern donned the Robins’ shirt 110 times before moving to Warrington Wolves for 2021.
A further 41 appearances in two seasons at the Halliwell Jones followed, with the prop then joining Leigh in 2023.
Mulhern helped the Leopards lift the Challenge Cup trophy that year – and head coach Lam has revealedhe will be ‘forever grateful’ to the prop.
“He has been awesome for us. On Robbie, he’s been inspirational for this club and the players love him and I love him,” Lam professed.
“We got him from Warrington when he was on the outer and the part he has played in our journey over the last three years – including that Challenge Cup – has been inspirational.
“I will never forget that until the day that I die. I will forever be grateful for him being a part of this group and what he’s done for us.
“I think he’s still got a big part to play for us here this season and he’s a great guy. He’s represented England during his time with the Leopards too.
“There’s still a long way to go with Robbie.”
