SYDNEY ROOSTERS are the only unbeaten side after BRISBANE BRONCOS not only slipped up at CANBERRA RAIDERS, but suffered their biggest-ever NRLW loss.

There was little sign that the shock of the season so far was in store when Lauren Dam provided Brisbane’s eleventh-minute opening try.

But Canberra, who are now into the play-off positions, got ahead on the stroke of half-time as backrower Charlotte Basham broke the line and Zahara Temara kicked the conversion – then bolted away with four unanswered tries for a 28-4 result.

Isabella Waterman set up Elise Simpson down the left then scored a try of her own from a kick, and Leianne Tufaga and Basham counted on the right late to clinch it.

Temara kicked three further goals while Brisbane, who were without halfback Ali Brigginshaw through suspension, lost another star, winger Julia Robinson, to a knee injury.

They’ll need to bounce back quickly for Saturday’s Grand Final rematch with the Roosters, who had no such trouble making it six wins from six, thrashing PARRAMATTA EELS 46-6.

Brydie Parker, Sariah Paki and Corban Baxter each scored doubles, with Olivia Kernick, Jayme Fressard and Millie Elliott also crossing in an especially dominant second half.

Back from injury, Tarryn Aiken assisted five of those nine tries, and kicked four goals (Jocelyn Kelleher also converted one).

Parramatta, the only side without a win this season, only registered a Taneka Todhunter try and Boss Kapua goal.

GOLD COAST TITANS are joint-second in the table after securing a fifth straight win, equalling their best run.

Teen debutant Sienna Ibrahim scored two tries, as did Sienna Lofipo (both converted by Lauren Brown), in a 24-10 victory at CRONULLA SHARKS.

The first half had been nip-and-tuck with Phoenix-Raine Hippi replying to Milla Elaro’s Sharks opener, goaled by Georgia Hannaway.

Georgia Ravics put Cronulla 10-8 ahead until Lofipo’s first try two minutes before the break set the Titans on their way.

Tysha Ikenasio’s hat-trick launched NEW ZEALAND WARRIORS towards a 22-14 victory over NEWCASTLE KNIGHTS which moves them into the top four.

After winger Ikenasio scored twice in the opening six minutes and Patricia Maliepo goaled the second, Simone Karpani and Kirra Dibb tries, both converted by the latter, edged the Warriors 12-10 ahead at half-time.

Ikenasio’s third was followed by a Dibb penalty-goal to level, but in the last 15 minutes Stacey Waaka and Apii Nicholls tries got the Warriors over the line.

A dramatic last-minute try by Faythe Manera, from a Losana Lutu line break, earned WESTS TIGERS a 16-12 win at ST GEORGE ILLAWARRA DRAGONS.

Emily Bass and Lutu tries close to half-time enabled Wests turn an 8-0 deficit – forged through Jayme Millard’s double – into a two-point lead with one Raecene McGregor conversion.

Taliah Fuimaono put the Dragons back in front with 16 minutes left, and the Tigers needed every one of them before Manera’s winner, goaled by McGregor.

There was also drama at CANTERBURY BULLDOGS, who clung on in the final ten minutes for a 28-26 win after Tiana Raftstrand-Smith’s back-to-back tries threatened a NORTH QUEENSLAND COWBOYS fightback.

After Fran Goldthorp’s Cowboys opener and the first of three Rosie Kelly goals, Canterbury took control with four tries in ten minutes by Simina Lokotui, Hope Millard, Andie Robinson and Elizabeth MacGregor, two converted by Tayla Preston for a 20-6 half-time lead.

Lokotui and MacGregor crossed again early in the second period, but Margot Vella and Ashley Marsters tries in between kept North Queensland close enough to mount that late push.
