JIM LENIHAN saluted Huddersfield Giants’ first win over a play-off side since he took charge.
Huddersfield earned a fifth victory in their last six games – and put a big dent in Leigh Leopards’ top-four ambitions – with an impressive 30-18 success.
“It was very good, very satisfying,” said Lenihan.
“Once we had two or three wins, we really talked about trying to knock over a top-six side.
“They’ve been working really hard. Right now it’s a really enjoyable place to be.
“I think we’ve taken some steps forward in our physicality, and mentally about how we see the game and what’s important to us.”
“We’ve got a lot of work to do to become one of those top, even mid‑table sides, let alone a top-six side.
“We haven’t even tried to win games this year. We’re just really measuring our ability to get parts of our detail done really well.”
