SUPER LEAGUE revealed its Dream Team on Sunday, and Leeds Rhinos enjoyed the best representation with six of their players chosen.
League Leaders’ Shield winners Wigan Warriors had just two, as did Leigh Leopards, with one each from Warrington Wolves, Wakefield Trinity and Toulouse Olympique.
Here, an alternative Super League Dream Team has been produced with players not included in that 13-strong side.
1. Jai Field – Wigan Warriors
There was a very strong case for Toulouse Olympique’s Olly Ashall-Bott to be included here given his influence on Super League with the French side. However, Jai Field, for his impact in guiding Wigan to Challenge Cup and League Leaders success. With 18 tries, 15 assists and 110 tackle busts, the fullback has demonstrated his importance to the Warriors, despite spending a chunk of the season out with injury.
2. David Nofoaluma – York Knights
Arguably one of the signings of the season, David Nofoaluma has stood out in an impressive York Knights side in 2026. With 15 tries, 140 tackle busts and over 3,000 metres made, the former Melbourne Storm winger has certainly enjoyed a resurrection of his career after fighting his way back in the Championship with Halifax Panthers.
3. Adam Keighran – Wigan Warriors
One of Wigan’s unsung heroes, Adam Keighran delivers an 8/10 performance each week, with his goalkicking ability helpful in aiding the Warriors in close games. His 16 tries and 13 assists are statistics that shouldn’t be sniffed at whilst an average gain of 8.61 metres demonstrates Keighran’s success at getting Wigan on the front foot.
4. Solomona Faataape – Catalans Dragons
In a bitterly disappointing year for Catalans – in which they finished well outside the top six – Solomona Faataape was a rare bright spark. The blockbusting centre registered eight tries in 20 appearances with his performances earning the 25-year-old a move to St Helens for 2027.
5. Innes Senior – Leigh Leopards
It’s fair to say that Innes Senior’s move from Castleford to Leigh paid off, with the winger becoming an integral part of the Leopards’ charge into the top six. Senior registered 15 tries and made the third most metres in the competition with 3,804.
6. Bevan French – Wigan Warriors
It almost seems cruel to not include Bevan French in the Dream Team, even though he has only played 14 times for Wigan in 2026. A number of long-term injuries has plagued French’s time on the field, however in those 14 games his impact has been felt massively.
7. Harry Smith – Wigan Warriors
A Wigan halfback combination does not seem so unfeasible given Harry Smith’s control and demeanour during games. Not one to panic or collapse under pressure, Smith rises to the occasion in big games with his work often going unnoticed.
8. Tom Holroyd – Leeds Rhinos
Six of his Leeds teammates have been included, but Tom Holroyd was overlooked for this year’s Dream Team despite his brilliant end-of-season form. Used as an impact player from the substitutes’ bench, Holroyd has been key in turning the tide in games.
9. Tyson Smoothy – Wakefield Trinity
Wakefield’s recruitment ahead of the 2026 campaign was striking to say the least with NRL Grand Final winner Tyson Smoothy heading up that list. The hooker’s pedigree was evident instantly, and, although he will go back to Australia when Trinity’s season ends, Smoothy has raised standards at Wakefield to a level not seen before.
10. Xavier Va’a – York Knights
Talk about an impact in Super League. Xavier Va’a is a fans’ favourite at the LNER Community Stadium for his devastating running and big hits in defence. At just 22, Va’a has played 30 times for the Knights in 2026, interplaying with fellow prop Paul Vaughan to great effect.
11. Kallum Watkins – Leeds Rhinos
James McDonnell occupies one of the second-row spots in the actual Dream Team, but his Leeds teammate Kallum Watkins can’t have been far behind. As he continues to wind back the years, the 35-year-old has played 29 times for the Rhinos in 2026, aging like a fine wine.
12. Junior Nsemba – Wigan Warriors
Arguably back to his best form, the last Wigan representative sees Junior Nsemba take the second back-rower spot. Although teams are now alert to Nsemba’s dangers, trying to stop him and his offloads are another thing altogether.
13. Keenan Palasia – Leeds Rhinos
Keenan Palasia would likely have been included in the Dream Team had he not spent a few months of the season out with injury. An in-form Palasia proved devastating early on for the Rhinos, forcing Cameron Smith to the bench.
