MICKAEL GOUDEMAND has signed a new two-year deal with Catalans Dragons.
The French international forward is in his second spell with the Dragons, having returned in June following time in Australia.
He first joined the Dragons in 2018 after spells with Avignon, in the French top flight, and Dewsbury Rams in the Championship.
Having quickly established himself in the first team, Goudemand helped the Dragons secure victory in the Challenge Cup Final that year.
Goudemand then helped Catalans reach the Super League Grand Finals of 2021 and 2023, appearing at Old Trafford the first time around but not the second as they were beaten in both.
He scored eleven tries in 99 Dragons appearances before moving to Leeds Rhinos in 2024, where he was limited to a single season and 18 games.
A return to France with Albi for the 2024-2025 season brought French Super XIII title glory, before Goudemand went to Australia to join the Newcastle Knights’ reserve team in the New South Wales Cup.
The 30-year-old was only able to play once on his return to Catalans, hitting the century of club appearances, having come back to France with an injury.
“I’m very happy to have signed this contract for the next two seasons and grateful to the club for the great support they have given me throughout my rehabilitation,” said Goudemand.
“I’m ready and excited for next season.”
