Managing director insists Leeds Rhinos have never been in better shape

LEEDS RHINOS’ managing director Rob Oates believes the West Yorkshire club offers great value for money following an eventful 2026 season.

The Rhinos finished second on the Super League ladder despite being top for 16 rounds, eventually going down 14-12 to Warrington Wolves in the eliminator play-off fixture at AMT Headingley.

Leeds, however, continue to be one of the best supported clubs in the northern hemisphere, with an average crowd of 15,795 filling the terraces in 2026.

For 2027, Leeds’ season-ticket prices have already been revealed, with prices starting from £255 for adults, £205 for concessions and £85 for juniors.

And Oates, who has been with the Rhinos for 23 years after initially joining the club as head of commercial sales, believes that AMT Headingley is the place to be in 2027.

“Why wouldn’t you want to be here on match days and guarantee your place?” Oates said.

“In 2026, we all saw a scarcity of seats and if there are some seats left in 2027 then you’re going to need a membership to be guaranteed a spot.

“It’s about being part of something that is special here, being part of the Rhinos family and the financial commitment isn’t crazy money.

“Look out there at how expensive things are; it’s great value for money and the match nights have been so special this year.”

Oates also paid tribute to owner Paul Caddick and his family, as well as chief executive Jamie Jones-Buchanan for taking Leeds’ off-field outlook to an even more impressive place.

“The club is in great shape. The Caddick family do a fantastic job, they aren’t on the pitch after the final whistle, they are just there. They are brilliant owners.

“Jamie Jones-Buchanan is doing a fantastic job as chief executive and the rest of the Board are doing great.

“Off the field, the club has never been in better shape.”
