TOULOUSE OLYMPIQUE chief executive Cedric Garcia has confirmed that the club’s recruitment is complete for the 2027 season.
The French side brought in John Toleafoa, Ethan Quai-Ward and Louis Grossemy during the 2026 campaign and promoted Bradley Goffin and Victor Collin to the first-team squad for next season.
Toulouse’s only signing for 2027 during the off-season so far has been Castleford Tigers forward Sam Hall.
Hall, who came through the Academy ranks at Castleford and went on to register 72 appearances for the Tigers over a period of seven seasons, has signed a two-year deal with Olympique.
But Garcia has a great deal of trust in Toulouse’s young squad for next season and beyond.
“Our squad is complete for 2027,” Garcia told League Express.
“We re-signed all the players we wanted, brought in three players mid-season, promoted two Academy players to the first team with new contracts and we recruited Sam Hall from Castleford.
“We have a young squad, we have trust in those players and we want to develop them.
“Our goal will be to improve from 2026. We know it will not be easy but most of our players discovered Super League and they have a lot of room for improvement.”
In recent weeks and months, the NRL has been locked in talks with Super League about a potential investment package.
A meeting earlier this month between Super League clubs failed to reach a final decision on whether to elevate London Broncos into the competition next season as part of an NRL deal.
When presented with the potential fixture list implications that would arise from having 15 clubs in Super League, some clubs withdrew their support from London joining the competition in order to be given more information about the possible structure of the season next year.
But Garcia is keen to see the Broncos in the top flight: “We believe London would bring a lot to the competition,” he said.
“It is important to have the club of the capital in Super League.”
