It is with great sadness that BARLA announce the passing of BARLA Secretary, Phil Sharpe who passed away on Thursday 24th May at Leeds Infirmary where he had been unwell for a number of weeks.
Phil, a stalwart of the amateur game, was also the secretary of Queens ARLFC and a great supporter of the club, a long standing member of Leeds & District ARL, and a passionate supporter of Leeds Rhinos.
BARLA’s thoughts are with his family and relatives at this time. He will be missed by everyone who knew him, both inside and outside the game of rugby league.
At this time BARLA are unaware of funeral details but will make an announcement of these when they are known.
