Wigan Warriors prop Ben Flower has failed in his bid to have a two-match overturned at an independent disciplinary tribunal on Wednesday evening.
Flower was handed the ban after being sent off during Wigan’s 35-28 win at Warrington last weekend, and was given the ban on Tuesday evening.
Wigan fought the charge and the suspension and Warriors coach Shaun Wane went to Red Hall on Wednesday to attempt to have it reduced or even overturned: but the Warriors have failed.
It means that Wigan now have to reach the Grand Final for the Wales international to play again this season.
