NRL bound Sam Burgess has sent a video to South Sydney Rabbitohs members as he prepares for his flight to Australia.
Sitting in Dubai, Burgess posted a 15 second video to tell members of the 2014 NRL champions about his whereabouts, saying: “I look forward to seeing you guys in the coming weeks.”
Burgess’ departure from rugby union last week has been intensely scrutinised, with several rugby union journalists slating his decision to ditch the 15-man code.
In contrast, Burgess has been welcomed back to Rugby League with open arms, just one year after originally leaving the sport.
He is expected to make his second-debut for the Rabbitohs in March against Sydney Roosters.
