Joel Monaghan has been handed the number 2 shirt ahead of his first season at Castleford Tigers.
Cas revealed the squad numbers at their annual sponsor shirt presentation, with Daryl Powell handing out the jerseys to the players.
Elsewhere, Denny Solomona has been promoted from number 20 to number 5 after impressing in 2015 while Mike McMeeken has been handed the number 12 shirt, the number previously worn by Matt Cook, who now takes the number 16 jersey.
