Former Hull KR forward Neville Costigan is locked in a row with the Robins over his registration with the club, after it emerged the Super League outfit are looking for compensation from any club that take on his registration.
Costigan has been linked with a number of NRL clubs for 2015, after leaving Hull KR due to what were described as personal reasons at the end of last season.
However, after Brisbane boss Wayne Bennett revealed that they will not be making a move for the PNG international, it has emerged that Hull KR could be looking for as much as £50,000 for any transfer of Costigan’s registration to an NRL club.
“I’ve heard a few clubs are interested but Nev will not be at the Broncos,” Bennett told Australian media.
“Nev has been here before but his best years are behind him unfortunately and that’s the way it is.”
Costigan is currently training with Queensland Cup side Townsville Blackhawks whilst he waits for the saga with the Robins to subside.
