Doncaster sign Dewsbury duo on loan

Doncaster have taken cousins Brad and James Delaney on one-month loan deals from Dewsbury.

The two playmakers are both products of the Rams Reserves teams who played key roles in the team’s Reserves Championship Grand Final success of 2015 and have played a handful of matches in the first team.

“We get on well with Doncaster and have been able to work closely with each other in recent years,” explained Dewsbury head coach Glenn Morrison.

“James had a month at Hemel, but the travelling down there was proving to be too much, and we want to keep him playing at a good level, while Brad also needs to be playing regularly.

“The opportunity for both of them to go to Doncaster at the same time is perfect.

“The Reserves competition has been delayed and shortened and, so far, hasn’t proved very beneficial to us, so a loan agreement of this nature for James and Brad is ideal.

“It’s a good level under a good coach and we will be keeping a close eye on them.”
