  1. Meanwhile, on Fev's increasingly hallucinagenic Twitter account
  2. Back from the game as a neutral. Leigh deserved to win but Hull let them in three times on the same side before they even got going. After that it was catchup with stupid penalties making it harder. Lam was the best player on the park by a distance.
  3. I'm in Hull tomorrow afternoon while my wife's working, would be rude not to go... Is it best to buy a ticket online or can you pay at the gate?
  4. Jon Bruce, ex-Huddersfield and Sheffield Eagles. Jon is a legend at the Eagles, captain during the early reformation years and proper old school front row forward.
  5. SATURDAY 25th MARCH Sheffield Eagles v Toulouse Olympique TO by 8 SUNDAY 26th MARCH Barrow Raiders v Halifax Panthers Halifax by 10 Featherstone Rovers v York Knights Fev by 18 Keighley Cougars v Bradford Bulls KO Bulls by 8 London Broncos v Swinton Lions KO London by 10 Whitehaven v Batley Bulldogs Haven by 6 Widnes Vikings v Newcastle Thunder Widnes by 12
  6. Newcastle Thunder v London Broncos London by 6 Widnes Vikings v Toulouse Toulouse by 8 Sunday 19th March Bradford Bulls v Sheffield Eagles Bulls by 8 Halifax Panthers v Keighley Cougars Fax by 8 Swinton Lions v Featherstone Rovers Fev by 40 York City Knights v Whitehaven York by 16 Batley by 10 in the TV game Only the Fev win is a slam dunk this week.
  7. Hunslet by 16 Doncaster by 6 Rochdale by 8 Dewsbury by 10 in the TV game
  8. I'm not sure stand-up arguments with supporters or insulting other clubs counts! Or maybe it does. All publicity is good publicity and all that.
  9. They only get locked when people start abusing each other, derail threads, or start talking about stuff that could get the publishers in trouble. I think this forum strikes a very good balance. Anyway, don't want to derail the thread. I've not been a fan of Beaumont but this year he's making other clubs look a bit flat and this was just a mistake that he's handled well.
  10. Siddal 12 - 12 Eagles Eagles have left out a lot of the big names. Good chance for a bit of history for the home side, this.
  11. That showed the difference. Thatto Heath with loads of possession and effort but lacking precision in the last 10m. NWC have one chance with some slick passing and it's game over.
  12. Now that we've had Brexit you can replace those woke energy saving bulbs with some proper Brexity British bulbs.
  13. SUN 5TH MARCH Dewsbury Rams v Midlands Hurricanes Rams by 24 Hunslet v North Wales Crusaders NWC by 12 Oldham v London Skolars Oldham by 30 Rochdale Hornets v Doncaster Hornets by 4
  14. The Eagles were more than 20 up last season in this game and lost. This is a good squad - they didn't play brilliantly today but still won, which wasn't happening last year.
  15. Would have gone for Toulouse by 10 yesterday, so I'm 1 down already SUNDAY 26 FEBRUARY Batley Bulldogs v Keighley Cougars Batley by 4 Featherstone Rovers v Newcastle Thunder Fev by 40 London Broncos v Sheffield Eagles Eagles by 10 Whitehaven v Swinton Lions Haven by 6 York Knights v Barrow Raiders York by 20 No respite for Barrow this week. If Haven don't beat Swinton, I think they're pretty much gone even at this early stage.
  16. Buckingham parkrun yesterday. Lovely, mostly flat course but I've been feeling rough all week and it was a real slog to get round it. That's 326 in total now and 103 different ones.
  17. I did Silksworth parkun in Sunderland last Saturday. A hilly finish and a bit of a gale made it quite tough - it's on an old colliery site where've they've used the tip as a dry ski slope. One of the friendliest parkruns I've been to - free coffee afterwards and I met a couple of runners who I then went for another run with on Sunday. Meanwhile back at my local parkrun, Poolsbrook, the first finisher was the 6th fastest parkrunner in the UK at 15.21 (course record) but would have been 2nd at the Dulwich parkrun mentioned above! Poolsbrook is flat but it's not the easiest of surfaces and has some tricky corners and a narrow gateway so it's a really good time. Over at my home run of Rother Valley, 2 women finished in the country's top 10. Neither beat the women's course record of 17 minutes exactly, set almost 10 years ago.
