  1. Not in our house it ain't. Should have spent our money on free licences for those over 74 and 9 months old.
  2. Where to start and how many rants in one post? That is the question. 1. Golden Globs and other award ceremonies. Jeez, is there no escape from this tripe. I get that some stars are really good - Alec Guinness is a prim example for me. The rest of them are just playing themselves. I get that, just as I get the enjoyment that we can (all?) get from their work. But PLEEEZE, can we have an end to the sight of these people masturbating en masse in public because they've been awarded a gold-plated plastic statue? 2. Trout-pouting. How bizarre, and stupid do these people look? 3. The Crown. Shirley, no one really watches this stuff do they. Please tell me that no one on here watches it. 4. The endless saturation coverage of working-from-home. What about the 60% or more of the workforce who can't do that?
  3. Closer to home, they are dropping like flies. Lost my sister 6 months ago (non-Covid, Parkinsons, late onset MS etc) , former work colleague a year ago (ill but Covid saw him off) plus several others. I guess its age-group related. Once you get to your 70s, there are many fewer years ahead than behind, and more Sympathy cards than Christmas cards. Can't change that, but to see some leaving us at a much earlier age is such a shame. Carpe Diem, everyone and yes, that means YOU!

  6. So... RTPI Bus Stop Signs There are about one hundred and fifty electronic RTPI signs installed bus stops across East Sussex. We will continue to add signs to new locations when funding becomes available. Audible information – ‘Talking’ Bus Stops All RTPI signs installed in the county can provide audible information about bus services for people with visual impairments. These are known as ‘Talking’ bus stops signs. The audible information is activated by a key fob (remote control) issued by the County Council to partially sighted people. For further information about ‘Talking’ bus stops and to request a key fob, please email the Transport Hub. Contact Us For further information, please email the Transport Hub. Please provide full details such as road names and addresses if you are emailing about a specific stop.

  8. Recently, an Antonov AN-12 has been passing over us twice a day from Ukraine to and from various airports: Liverpool, East Midlands at least. Noisy old ######..but thats enough about my next door neighbour.
  9. Sounds like he's trying to become a naturalised Australian sportsman.
  10. Or even how they qualify. Surely there has to be some contestant selection criteria. There's quite a process behind University Challenge, you can see from Mastermind what happens when a contestant's concentration is broken, and from Only Connect what a twisted brain is needed to get even one question right.

  13. You are half right. It is GLASS, not GLARSE. Just like it is PLANT not PLARNT and MASTER not MARSTER!
  14. To whom it may concern. The CORRECT pronunciation is not GLAYCIERS. The CORRECT pronunciation is GLASS-IERS
  15. I have a Gale 3090, too, but have stopped using it since Cambridge University identified me as the source of some unusual seismic activity.
