  1. Jesus wept, thats always a penalty and no try (Edit because I was too baffled to type properly)
  2. Moore is having a better game than Wire are, that's for sure And they're both doing better than the sky commentary.
  3. That is VERY good figures for RL given that ITV is a more watched channel than C4
  4. You can say it It's wrong beyond words but you can say it My only consolation is that Huddersfield have a good chance of coming out stronger...clubs in the middle 8 are destined to decades of yoyo syndrome. I can only assume the payoff is sweet It's like Superleague 1 all over again
  5. If the giants have learned anything from this season (at the hands of Wire) it's 4 top props wins you big games Giants lost Fielden and O'Donnell early on and I suspect if a fit Fielden had been in the playoffs the Giants might be at Old Trafford this weekend Mulally is in development Patrick is an impact player or a back row We ended using Faiumu as a prop and he's a better 13 Crabtree Coppy Kafusi Taia Will be our headline props
  6. Cas fans said Ferres was a terrible signing too... But he'll be joining a table topping coaching team, a first rate set up and a winning team, I'm sure he'll be a different player for the Giants.
  7. I always wonder why a player like this hasn't been picked up by a Superleague club - is it just too much hard work now to trial a player?
  8. It reminds me very much of a similar article a month or two back from Wakey who used similar lines to dismiss fears about their financial situation (I.e. sorry we forgot to pay that CCJ etc) Maybe I'm just cynical.
  9. If England win because Sinfield plays a blinder at 6 I'll be at the front of the queue to eat humble pie When Sinfield goes missing will his supporters do the same?
  10. Brough wants to play in the World Cup - it'll be his last chance probably Macca asked him to be available to England then ignored him It left Brough with a choice. Stick with England and chances are sit watching from the sidelines or pick Scotland and play Can't say I'd have done differently if it were me, can anyone else?
  11. Indeed Semi-finals are often where the briliant games live
  12. Yeah, impossible to call that a knock on and no one was offside
  13. Impossible to prove He knocks the ball down out of Shauls hands as both are sprinting to the Wigan try line, to me the ball simply squirts out of Shauls hands and heads in a direction towards the touch line and Wigans try line At best it's 50/50 at best and no way could any official be expected to call on that - and I'd also say the "call" went the same way every other such play has ever gone And in either case it should not deflect from what was an astonishing play from Charnley
  14. I personally disagree it was a knock on by Charnley - I certainly didn't think so at the time
  15. You know what If the Cup Final had been played between two NRL teams all the talk would be of the superhuman defence of both teams and their willingness to attack in all areas of the field despite the pressure put on them Instead it's "well didn't they knock on a lot" Hull played right up to the advantage line and it didn't work for them, Wigan took a slightly more conservative approach and where limited to two tries, one a bit of luck and the other the individual brilliance of Tomkins. Hull blew chance after chance - and had what could have been one of the great Wembley tries snuffed out by what might be the best bit of defensive play I've seen at Wembley from Charnley - the front on camera view of that is a joy to behold no matter what sport you follow. Maybe if Hull had been a bit more reserved they'd have scored something, if Charnley hadn't bust a gut to get back the score might have been very different It wasn't the best game ever, but it had moments of sheer brilliance in it, and so lets view it in that lense instead of saying it was mediocre - which it certainly wast.
  16. Did Huddersfield when they were elevated to Superleague? Did Wakefield when they first won promotion? Funding in Superleague is given at a whim of the incumbent clubs
  17. They also have strict criteria that clubs can be denied promotion under I'm sure I read that promotions in the "new" leagues would be under the conditions of matching certain criteria Which is neat since maybe only 1 or 2 Championship clubs will meet those criteria. It's going to be like the old days of Super League with a club coming bottom then not knowing what league they'd be in next season...
  18. You know what, I'm going to stop caring In the short term this will advantage my team and in the long run it won't matter
