  1. 113k Seem to be in a decent routine at the moment of rowing and weights. Back doing well but my left leg isnt. I half think ill never 'run' again. Ah well.
  2. Its a Fitness First. The Virgin gym i was in earlier this year had much better standards
  3. People in my gym. 1 idiot always takes the locker right above the ironing board and then takes his time mincing about so the ironing board can't be used. I had a word today and hopefully this is resolved. 1 idiot left a wet jumper hung up over the benches. Unresolved. If i see it again, I'm putting it in the bin. Multiple idiots leave their towels and kit on the benches rather than put them in the wash a literal toss away. They also leave weights about etc. Trying to resolve on a 1 by 1 basis. Sub human ####.

  5. 1st day back in the gym today. Decent session of some intervals and i tried a ski-erg which was awkward and hard.
  6. Go back to work tomorrow, so with the inlaws here, we booked a nice michelin lunch for 13:30 whilst they look after the newborn. Struggling with the wee man so called them at 12:30 to ask when is the latest we can arrive as we were running late. She said 14:00. In a taxi and get a call at 13:55 asking where we were as the kitchen is now closed. Sigh
  7. Around 112. Would be wonderful to see under 110 and then consolidate. Target 100 one day hopefully
  8. I can do more these days, some stretching etc and a few machine weights in the gym. A 20 min 'swim' this evening as well. My physio is pretty sure that my fracture is ok and that my main symptoms of a usless left leg, painful shin and overused hammy are because i tore my glute. 100% agree that any exercise helps mentally. Keep plugging away and see what happens. Are you doing anything in particular? Godspeed.

  13. Whats up? Ive a prolapsed disc that likely needs replacing. A broken verterbra that is likely 15-20 years old is potentially causing sciatica or it potentially isnt. Stupid rugby! I always knew something was odd.... Seen a physio today who wants to avoid spinal surgery; his theory is that my bum cheek and poor supporting muscles is the cause of my nerve pain. Summary - pay for a physio, a reay good one related to your injury. Ive had multiple NHS MRIs etc in the UK and months and months of physio and in reflection theyve all been terrible. My situation makes me realise how lucky i am to live insured in Singapore. I have a MRI or whatever same day and go over the results with my surgeon straight after. Oh..mentally im rubbish at the minute. Proper weird depression, do better than me and talk to someone if you can. Injuries are pretty ###### but spine stuff is even worse.
  14. I havent started yet, so not sure. Cross that bridge in 2/3 months i suppose.
  15. 3 months physio and if not resolved, surgery to replace and then fuse my L5 with new bone. No intense exercise at all. Seeing a physio tomorrow so will see what i can do to keep sane.
  16. I know him well. Hospital tomorrow morning for me. 115k which isnt too bad, but im mentally in a pretty poo place at the minute
  17. I gave up after 2 episodes. Shes nice though...
  18. Not sure. Theres a lot of scare tissue so the hope is that its an old injury and that my current sciatica is an inflamed nerve rather than a pinched one. Time will tell. Ill be googling yoga when i feel spirited enough

  20. Cant be bothered to look elsewhere; what position does Farnworth play? Radley at Easts is British? Bateman will go well in the middle. Can't wait for season to start
  21. I've got a stress fracture in one of my lumbar vertebrae. Great. Absolutely sodding great. Explains a lot though...
