  1. Biff is still part-&-parcel of league but if you aren't a hothead & can avoid a fight it's best to. Who was the player the other day who put the forearm/elbow of the guy he tackled the when the 'tacklee' (?) push him away then swung a few punches before diving behind his Prop? That sort of cowardous in a fight is pure comedy gold.
  2. He may not be the biggest Prop Forward but he's still a damn good Prop so why do Rugby League fans has to be so damn negative? I absolutely hate the negative BS of RL fans. Is it just when players are on opposition teams to the one the support? Can't they just wish him the best of luck? Jeez! I think there was a comment about him apparently crapping himself when Senior faced up to him. I'm guessing he's probably a few stone heavier than Senior but there are just some Backs you just don't mess with be they G.I., Senior or 'Scrappy Doo'. So, fair play to him on that front.
  3. 'Gobbing'? Urgh! Filthy habit. :-D
  4. How many times were Leeds penalised for dissent last night? Hold yer gobs lads. I know they were playing shi*e but the shouldn't take their frustrations out on the ref as it just led to them getting penalised loads for their stupidity.
  5. On-form Eastmond is just as good as the likes of Soward. He just needs to learn how to be a play-maker. Although I think we need Backs of Eastmond & Sam Tomkins quality to stay in England for the good of the Super League.
  6. I guess most Premiership footballers could actually afford to buy their kids a private school.
  7. Fair enough. But would anyone support an England 'A'/'potentials' Vs the currently England RL squad? Or would everyone be neutral? Then who would they cheer for? Both teams? If you're jeering the England squad wouldn't that be detrimental to the National game?
  8. I don't know of any Pro Footy players who went to Eton. 'Association Football' may have possibly started out at Cambridge Uni but it certainly seems to be a mainly working/middle class sport these days rather than upper-middle/Upper Class like Tennis, Golf, Polo and Rugby Union?... I think a large portion of the footy players from London & the North seem to have came from fairly 'umble backgrounds?
  9. I think he probably meant Rugby Union as it is seen as a upper tier Middle/Upper Class sport and whenever you hear Rugby Union players speak you can tell theyr'e generally from 'well to do' backgrounds. So, I guess that analysis may be sad-but-true?...
  10. Surely Sinfield is currently is the first choice Hooker? He definitely should definitely be in the England squad due to his play-maker and kicking abilities (I'd actually like to see him as Captain). I'd go with Morely rather than Peacock. Peacock just doesn't seem to do a lot at International level these days whereas Morley can still drive in the Big Hits. The only problem is unfortunately England 'A' may not end up with any supporters and they may get beaten by 30-40+ points.
  11. Isn't Sean O'Loughlin one of the dirtiest players in the Super League though? So possibly not the best example? Funniest thing I heard the other day: "He just can't tackle below neck height".
  12. Well, good on them... As Ireland technically have nothing to do with the Great British Isles. Have they managed to forget that Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom and not part of Britain? I know nowt about RU but that's why it's the GB & Irish Lions in RU. I hope Scotland and Wales can put pettyness to one side as we are technically still GB even with 'devolution' and the Welsh Assembly. Why can't they just forget about the pointless Monary and play nice. Hahah.
  13. Seeing as France & Wales aren't good enough to play England at present would that be against an England 'A' squad then? Look how the 'Unionists' (play on words...) get behind their GB & Irish Lions Tours. Seeing as we used to play as GB I'd definitely like them to bring GB back to RL for either 3, 4 or 5 yearly games/tours. Even if it is just against 'lesser' teams like; France, Lebonon, Italy, Tonga, Fiji or the Cook Islands, and if it's just the best of the Welsh 'Crusaders RL'/South Wales Scorpions players and Co-op Championships & Scottish National RL players. Hopefully in 20 - 50 years time we could have a GB team of first graders who could play against NZ & Aus?
  14. Can Lomax not take up Eastmond's role while he's out resting?
  15. That's what I was worried about; another injury, if he doesn't rest up enough.
  16. Phew!! I do think it would have been a huge blow to the National squad to lose Eastmond. Hope he is fit enough to play in the Gillette 4 Nations this year, even if it's as an interchange.
  17. Deleted. As I thought you were saying he was in the NSW squad... Which he wasn't today. Oops!
  18. When did Briers become English?... Would Gareth Thomas or Lee Briers be able to play in a GB squad in 2012 or would they be too old by then? Aren't any of the Welsh guys in the Crusaders squad good enough to play in a GB squad? And are there any really talented Scots playing in the Super League or in the 'Academy' squads at present?
  19. Couldn't.Agree.More! They only have NRL games. They don't even have Cup games [yeah, they have the junior (Toyota) Cup but that's different]. If they shorten their domestic season that's up to them. Say each team only play each other once at a ground in-between their locations?... But I still think we NEED to bring back a 3, 4 or even 5 yearly GB Vs Aus game/'Ashes'/'Test series'. If there was no way of the ARL agreeing to a 'Test' in 2012 against an Aus 'A' squad then why not play against NRL teams? Or even Queensland Maroons? Or NSW Blues?
  20. I was just wondering should McNamara be taking the likes of Widdop (starting full back?), Johnny Lomax (interchange?), Michael Lawrence (interchange?), Leeroy Cudjoe (interchange?) and possibly Richard Owens (too much of a risk seeing as he's been out for the season?) to the Gillette 4 Nations to try to build-up the squad for the RLWC 2013 rather than just looking at the G4N? Well, what I mean is: the best 2 or 3 youngsters to travel as part of the full squad?
